NDC's Impact And Other Travel Retailing Trends Will Bring Change and Opportunities for 2016

In 2014, the airline industry officially launched an important initiative when the U.S. Department of Transportation finally approved Resolution 787, the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) foundational document for New Distribution Capability (NDC).
Initiated by IATA, the NDC program is designed to encourage the market adoption of an XML-based data transmission standard that significantly improves communications capabilities among the different participants in the travel ecosystem, in particular travel agencies, which still obtain and display airfare content using outdated systems.
