Guestlogix

Background

Guestlogix, a Canadian technology company that pioneered onboard retailing and payment solutions for the airline and passenger travel industries, approached THINKINK to develop and launch its first airline benchmark report. The then publicly-traded company had already signed its first major airline customer but needed a PR and communications with deeper expertise and relationships within the airline, payments and travel industries than its current PR agency of record. THINKINK managed the global PR and communications function for the company and its regional teams over the course of a decade, and several management changes and company restructuring from public to private.

Approach

After a successful launch of the first Guestlogix benchmark report, securing coverage in top-tier business and trade media outlets worldwide, we were retained to develop a global communications strategy targeting airlines and rail operators with supporting regional PR and marketing campaigns. Our strategy combined extensive PR and thought leadership on four continents, speaking engagements and conference participation, industry reports and surveys, and content creation. Our work also included PR counsel and crisis communications, speaker preparation and media training, and trade association management.

Outcomes

During our 10+ year engagement, we secured 700+ media placements in top-tier business and financial publications and trade media covering the airline, rail, travel and payments sectors. We secured 40+ speaking engagements for company executives (and created speaker notes and presentations), launched three international locations as the company grew, and authored over 150 reports and content pieces. We also developed new messaging for the updated Guestlogix brand after several leadership changes and the company’s restructuring.
